We’re sad that we can’t parade through the streets with everyone this year, but we’re definitely planning to do that as soon as we can!  We’re finding other great ways to work with our communities though, and we’re excited to be sharing our creativity with people in a different way.

We Are Here is a collaborative film based on a specially commissioned short story by award-winning writer Liz Flanagan. Participation is free and open to all – from families to community groups and creative individuals – it’s not just for children! The story will resonate with everyone who has experienced this extraordinary moment in our history. This is a unique chance to help us create something magical, perhaps participating with your friends and family who might live a very long way away from the Pennines.

There are many different ways to be involved in We are Here – from contributing a few minutes or a couple of days, the project will be a joy to be part of. Participants could draw or paint a picture, make and perform a simple puppet, join a drumming workshop and perform a piece of music, make a model and film it, or perform a scene to camera. No expertise is required – just a dash of enthusiasm!
Content will be shaped via a series of how-to videos, and everyone will get access to all the support they need from our brilliant artistic team.
